In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind BULLaLoLeN's goalkeeper Brian Iparraguirre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was a well-played corner which Normando Guardia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Eladio Escalona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Farfán in the 12th minute of the match. Rubén Martínez scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brian Iparraguirre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute Guld Gosse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Escalona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Rubén Martínez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BULLaLoLeN's Brian Iparraguirre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Colo-Colo's Eladio Escalona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordi Bacigalupo in the 32nd minute of play. Eladio Escalona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordi Bacigalupo in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colo-Colo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ceandro Serpa was slow to take the kick. During this time BULLaLoLeN's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Martínez in the 37th minute of play forced BULLaLoLeN's goalkeeper Brian Iparraguirre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Colo-Colo got a corner. BULLaLoLeN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Honorio Droguett ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guld Gosse in the 44th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Eladio Escalona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubén Martínez in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Iparraguirre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rubén Martínez was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Rubén Martínez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brian Iparraguirre was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Guld Gosse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Escalona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eladio Escalona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceandro Serpa in the 86th minute. Eladio Escalona made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Danilo Farfán sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Rubén Martínez made a precise shot to the right of Brian Iparraguirre. BULLaLoLeN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The Colo-Colo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
