After a defensive mix-up in Capo de Provincia's zone, Juan Estevan Maettig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Héctor Barra came out of the goal and Juan Estevan Maettig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efraín Jorge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Héctor Barra having to interfere. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Andes Hotspur's goalkeeper Vinos Garland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Efraín Jorge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vinos Garland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Pedro Hernández notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Los Andes Hotspur's Vinos Garland. Vinos Garland was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

51 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Efraín Jorge came free, but Héctor Barra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Estevan Maettig in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Héctor Barra saved Capo de Provincia from getting behind. Héctor Barra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Estevan Maettig's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Capo de Provincia made a substitution. Próspero Imaz replaced Fructuoso Acedo. In the 63rd match minute, Capo de Provincia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Valdivieso to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Capo de Provincia defense, Juan Estevan Maettig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Héctor Barra. The Capo de Provincia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Héctor Barra should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Los Andes Hotspur had won after a very even match.
