After the first half Inter de Chillán were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Disvandis Advis hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Salas in the 89th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FSX UNITED's goalkeeper Ye Wei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Salas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Although FSX UNITED had been in control for most of the match, Inter de Chillán still came away with the win.
