An unexpectedly hard shot by Andolín Echeandía in the 29th minute of play forced CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Emanuel Podgoreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when CSD Concepción was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yakup Kadri Hazret didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Gary Medel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Podgoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, CSD Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Gary Medel came free, but Emanuel Podgoreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CSD Concepción were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Lautaro L.P.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgardo Soto Tapia took the corner. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Lautaro L.P.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CSD Concepción:s goal. Sebastian Felin struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Salvador Ortega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSD Concepción. After 93 played minutes Lautaro L.P. got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Irisarri. After 96 minutes of play, CSD Concepción's Sebastian Felin made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Salvador Ortega was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Lautaro L.P. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CSD Concepción.
