Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arden Dupre started the match with the kick off. Arden Dupre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Kasey Washburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 4 minutes into the match, Silcox FC's goalkeeper Kasey Washburn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boyd Alvarado. Boyd Alvarado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo Ambrose might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rod Cooley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carmelo Ambrose ran back to his position shaking his head. After 10 minutes, Boyd Alvarado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Edgar FC and the Silcox FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Edgar FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Boyd Alvarado hit a great ball. When Connie Gentry came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Silcox FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Connie Gentry couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute Carmelo Ambrose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rod Cooley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connie Gentry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Cooley having to interfere. If Boyd Alvarado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boyd Alvarado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kasey Washburn having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Connie Gentry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silcox FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Connie Gentry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Cooley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th match minute, Silcox FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Page to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Neal Cooke sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Silcox FC's Kasey Washburn didn't even have to move. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Connie Gentry to strike the kick off in the second half. Kasey Washburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arden Dupre in the 52nd minute of the match. Carmelo Ambrose could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Rod Cooley made a huge save. Christoper Larkin was slow to take the kick. During this time Silcox FC's players had a chance to rest. If Connie Gentry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rod Cooley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Ambrose in the 73rd minute. Edgar FC's Arden Dupre managed to work through Silcox FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Arden Dupre dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 77th match minute, Silcox FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grady Guertin to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Edgar FC's goalkeeper Rod Cooley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmelo Ambrose. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Dupre in the 84th minute of play forced Silcox FC's goalkeeper Kasey Washburn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kasey Washburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyd Alvarado in the 85th minute of the match. Carmelo Ambrose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rod Cooley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Edgar FC's Rod Cooley got control of the ball when Carmelo Ambrose tried to sneak it across the goal line.
