Homer Booth started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Miguel Patton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Eugène Hester was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mildmay AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tamworth AFC the free kick. 13 minutes into the game, one of Mildmay AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Willard Long shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Homer Booth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léopold Benoit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leroy Moses's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When Mildmay AFC's Homer Booth in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 32 minutes, Walter Moore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tamworth AFC and the Mildmay AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mildmay AFC's Léopold Benoit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Dodson in the 37th minute of play. If Timothy Gaudreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leroy Moses recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leroy Moses to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timothy Gaudreau in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Lanoie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Tamworth AFC booed when Mildmay AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Von Tovar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Leroy Moses reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Léopold Benoit. The goal made the score 0-1. Leroy Moses sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, Alec Dodson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamworth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alec Dodson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, one of Mildmay AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 94 minutes into the match, Mildmay AFC's goalkeeper Léopold Benoit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alec Dodson. Noé Lamothe's late challenge caught a Tamworth AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noé Lamothe helped the player get up and apologised.
