In the 5th minute, Teddy Larivière sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Scotsguard's Leo Bryant didn't even have to move. Arden Dupre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Bryant having to interfere. Boyd Alvarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 minutes, Arden Dupre made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Scotsguard's Leo Bryant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lothaire Loomiss short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Rod Cooley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 38th minute, Edgar FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jean Lajeunesse fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arden Dupre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59thth minute of the game Jean Lajeunesse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edgar FC's Rod Cooley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Arden Dupre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edgar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arden Dupre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Bryant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Scotsguard's zone, Arden Dupre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Bryant came out of the goal and Arden Dupre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Edgar FC booed when Scotsguard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Crowley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Jean Lajeunesse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scotsguard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Rod Cooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léandre Aucoin in the 81st minute of the match. When Léandre Aucoin came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Scotsguard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léandre Aucoin couldn't finish the play. After having played for 84 minutes, Léandre Aucoin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scotsguard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léandre Aucoin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léandre Aucoin in the 86th minute of play forced Edgar FC's goalkeeper Rod Cooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Léandre Aucoin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scotsguard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léandre Aucoin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Scotsguard's Léandre Aucoin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rod Cooley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lyle Murillo lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 90 minutes into the game, one of Edgar FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Scotsguard a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vincent Ramirez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Edgar FC's Rod Cooley. 3-1. Lothaire Loomis kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Scotsguard were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Edgar FC for a fine match.
