Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cecil Pritchard started the match with the kick off. Penzance's Anatole Ruth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecil Pritchard in the 6th minute of play. Tracadie FC's James Dostie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lynn Barnard in the 9th minute of play. Lynn Barnard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tracadie FC's goalkeeper James Dostie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilbert Lessard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Gilbert Lessard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penzance's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Lessard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Dostie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. James Dostie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lynn Barnard, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elwood Crow in the 30th minute of play forced Penzance's goalkeeper Anatole Ruth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. James Dostie came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Penzance's Gilbert Lessard. But to his dismay, Gilbert Lessard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Tracadie FC's Rosendo Nesbitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anatole Ruth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilbert Lessard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute, Gilbert Lessard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilbert Lessard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. James Dostie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tracadie FC's Rosendo Nesbitt got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lynn Barnard made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Tracadie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Thorne to maneuver through the defense. Rosendo Nesbitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Tracadie FC's Cecil Pritchard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Gilbert Lessard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Elwood Crow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. James Dostie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilbert Lessard's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Rosendo Nesbitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute of the match, Cecil Pritchard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anatole Ruth saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rosendo Nesbitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anatole Ruth having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Tracadie FC got a freekick which was hit by Shane Thorne. Gilbert Lessard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Dostie having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Rosendo Nesbitt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anatole Ruth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Tracadie FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
