Carol Thurston hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. James Dostie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Byron Ritter's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Byron Hodge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Dostie having to interfere. When Edgar FC's Byron Ritter in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tracadie FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd minute, Rosendo Nesbitt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Byron Ritter struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. James Dostie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edgar FC. Loyd Banks charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loyd Banks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tracadie FC's Loyd Banks got a free kick in the 31st minute. Byron Ritter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without James Dostie having to make a save. A collision led to Tracadie FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Elwood Crow hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Edgar FC's Dalton Beaupré broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Tracadie FC booed when Edgar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Christie didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Shane Thorne in the 44th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Séverin Romero's left hand side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

58 minutes into the game, Marcelino Begay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edgar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tracadie FC the free kick. A collision led to Edgar FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marcelino Begay hit a great ball. Rosendo Nesbitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séverin Romero having to interfere. If Cecil Pritchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Edgar FC's Séverin Romero got control of the ball when Rosendo Nesbitt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Séverin Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecil Pritchard in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecil Pritchard in the 74th minute of play forced Edgar FC's goalkeeper Séverin Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Byron Hodge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosendo Nesbitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Séverin Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Edgar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Begay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Byron Hodge made a precise shot to the right of James Dostie. Tracadie FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rosendo Nesbitts short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Séverin Romero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 94th minute, Gonzalo Ewing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tracadie FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
