But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Shea couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Daniel Shea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Daniel Shea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colebrook FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Shea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donn Carroll breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ron Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Short having to interfere. Shaun Cooke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Kim Short made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Woodstock's goal looked a bit too open when Léon Hickman came free, but Donn Carroll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kim Short showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 23 minutes Colebrook FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kyle Querry who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Woodstock's corner Kyle Querry fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kim Short quite easily take care of the ball. Wilber FresneFrêne's late challenge caught a Woodstock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilber FresneFrêne helped the player get up and apologised. Kim Short showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ron Dempsey in the 32nd minute of the match. Harris Tyler hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. When Johnnie Gaillou came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Woodstock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnnie Gaillou couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute Daniel Shea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donn Carroll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Colebrook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Dempsey came free, but Kim Short reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ron Dempsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim Short having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Woodstock's Johnnie Gaillou got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jérémie Mireault's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kim Short read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josh Hunter during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Shea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donn Carroll having to interfere. When Léon Hickman came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Colebrook FC fans jumped to their feet. The crowd rose to their feet as Colebrook FC's Léon Hickman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Donn Carroll. That made the score 0-1 after 85 minutes of play. 90 minutes into the match, Woodstock's goalkeeper Donn Carroll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Shea. Daniel Shea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Donn Carroll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Colebrook FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
