Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Tommie Elliott successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnold Cutler charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 42nd minute of the match, Jean Bullard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommie Elliott saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joachim Garza was the one to do the kick off. Braeside's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Bullard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommie Elliott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean Bullard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Joachim Garza managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommie Elliott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Braeside fans cheered their team off the field, for while Shamattawa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
