Blaine Deleon's late challenge caught a Sombra AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blaine Deleon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Shamattawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaine Deleon to maneuver through the defense. Sombra AFC's Joseph Lovett suffered a concussion in the 39th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Toney Larson fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shamattawa's protests and gave Toney Larson a yellow card for diving instead. Toney Larson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Gérard Kane sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Shamattawa's Tommie Elliott didn't even have to move. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joachim Garza made a kick off. Tommie Elliott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Carlton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sombra AFC were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Shamattawa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gérard Kane took the corner. If Joachim Garza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvin Carlton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
