Donte Darling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantin Collins went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jonas Blackman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Lozano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Constantin Collins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Blackman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Roger Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantin Collins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donte Darling having to interfere. Roger Lozano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Blackman's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Constantin Collins struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Donte Darling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Waskatenau AFC. Waskatenau AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonas Blackman 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After 40 played minutes Thornhill got a freekick which was hit by Tom Swift. After a defensive mix-up in Waskatenau AFC's zone, Jonas Blackman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Lozano came out of the goal and Jonas Blackman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noé Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donte Darling having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noé Acevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Thornhill's Bradly Hewitt got a free kick in the 56th minute. Rudolph Henrichon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Thornhill's Jonas Blackman in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Waskatenau AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Collins got free with Donte Darling in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roger Lozano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristopher Roman's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. A collision led to Waskatenau AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Thad Belcher hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Thornhill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Broderick Tessier to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Collins got free with Donte Darling in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantin Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Waskatenau AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Blackman came free, but Roger Lozano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantin Collins took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donte Darling. Donte Darling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
