Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jean Bullard started the match with the kick off. Adolph Powell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daren Phaneuf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolph Powell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Grimm in the 5th minute of the match. When Daren Phaneuf fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oromocto's protests and gave Daren Phaneuf a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Braeside booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daren Phaneuf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolph Powell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daren Phaneuf, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Fidel Grimm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Fidel Grimm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oromocto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Grimm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daren Phaneuf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolph Powell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Daren Phaneuf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Jean Bullard got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hung Elmore kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Haywood Scruggs successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Jean Bullard came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Braeside fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Bullard couldn't finish the play. Fidel Grimm struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Adolph Powell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oromocto. Braeside's Adolph Powell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Grimm in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Oromocto's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rey LondeLalonde fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Braeside booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammad Bain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daren Phaneuf to strike the kick off in the second half. Rey LondeLalonde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolph Powell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daren Phaneuf went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Adolph Powell managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Oromocto's Fidel Grimm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 68th minute of the match Oromocto got a corner. Braeside's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nolan Mothé ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Oromocto's Nolan Mothé to fire away a dangerous shot which Adolph Powell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rey LondeLalonde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes in the game, Fidel Grimm fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adolph Powell having to interfere. Hung Elmore kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Rey LondeLalonde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daren Phaneuf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adolph Powell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Oromocto supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Oromocto would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
