Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Noé Acevedo kicked off to start the match. Constantin Collins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Matt Reeder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roger Lozano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Trent Bourgeau went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 10 played minutes Sombra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Randy Dionne. 15 minutes into the match, Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantin Collins. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noé Acevedo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matt Reeder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 minutes of play, Sombra AFC's Alvin Carlton made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Lozano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Noé Acevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Matt Reeder to make any attempt to save it. In the 27th minute, Thad Belcher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Waskatenau AFC's Constantin Collins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matt Reeder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Waskatenau AFC's Constantin Collins came free and shot a quick shot against goal 32 minutes in the game, fortunately Matt Reeder had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terence Glass during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Waskatenau AFC booed when Sombra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terence Glass didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 43 minutes on the clock, Elliott Suggs commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 45th minute, when Waskatenau AFC's Adolphe Lentz after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Matt Reeder in Sombra AFC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Constantin Collins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matt Reeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Noé Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Matt Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alvin Carlton made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Sombra AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Trent Bourgeau hit a great ball. When Constantin Collins came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Waskatenau AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantin Collins couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Alvin Carlton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Lozano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Matt Reeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Collins in the 67th minute of play. Constantin Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sébastien Montminy charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sébastien Montminy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Noé Acevedo put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Matt Reeder. 85 minutes into the game, Alvin Carlton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Lozano. Alvin Carlton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Alvin Carlton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Lozano having to interfere. Alvin Carlton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Roger Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waskatenau AFC's Constantin Collins got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sombra AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sombra AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
