Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jonas Blackman made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Jonas Blackman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thornhill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Blackman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute Jonas Blackman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haywood Scruggs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daren Phaneuf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Thornhill's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ali Sears fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ali Sears kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donte Darling. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. When Thornhill's Jonas Blackman in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oromocto's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24thth minute of the game Kristopher Roman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oromocto's Haywood Scruggs was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Ali Sears shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donte Darling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Sears sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Donte Darling came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Oromocto's Daren Phaneuf. But to his dismay, Daren Phaneuf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Sears made a kick off. Kristopher Roman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Garry Heard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes, Garry Heard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thornhill and the Oromocto players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Thornhill got a freekick which was hit by Garry Heard. If Daren Phaneuf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Thornhill getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Bradly Hewitt hit a great ball. Eustache Farmer's late challenge caught a Thornhill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eustache Farmer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Oromocto's Eustache Farmer got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Thornhill's Jonas Blackman in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oromocto's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Thornhill booed when Oromocto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nolan Mothé didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thornhill's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 80th minute of the game, when Cory Wooten after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Oromocto's goal. Cory Wooten was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Daren Phaneuf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Donte Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Kristopher Roman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thornhill's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristopher Roman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haywood Scruggs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haywood Scruggs made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Kristopher Roman sent off a good shot on target. Jonas Blackman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Haywood Scruggs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristopher Roman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Haywood Scruggs made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Oromocto fans cheered their team off the field, for while Thornhill had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
