The audience was convinced that Daren Phaneuf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurice Hodges was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Daren Phaneuf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Oromocto booed when Louiseville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Chappell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Oromocto's Rudolph Metzger got a free kick in the 56th minute. Haywood Scruggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryon Dale in the 76th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Maurice Hodges successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 95th match minute, Oromocto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustache Farmer to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting.
