Trent Bourgeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quebec AFC's Bruno Greer got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Joyner during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jack Joyner hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Quebec AFC booed when Sombra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Lovett didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Huey Fecteau sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matt Reeder skillfully saved the ball. Bruno Greer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matt Reeder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thad Legault went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Thad Legault's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matt Reeder was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. If Thad Legault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Greer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Greer in the 45th minute of play forced Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Thad Legault sped through Sombra AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matt Reeder. Lorenzo Keller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trent Bourgeau in the 56th minute of the match. Dalton Helms hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Bruno Greer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Reeder having to interfere. Bruno Greer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Matt Reeder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Quebec AFC booed when Sombra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Lovett didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bruno Greer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Reeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thad Legault, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Bruno Greer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Matt Reeder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Bruno Greer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Darrel Sumner fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sombra AFC's protests and gave Darrel Sumner a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Sombra AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quebec AFC:s goal. Huey Fecteau walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Quebec AFC's Thad Legault got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Sombra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hugues Lott. 82 minutes into the match, Sombra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Thad Legault came free, but Matt Reeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Greer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Reeder having to interfere. If Thad Legault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Quebec AFC's zone, Alvin Carlton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Keller came out of the goal and Alvin Carlton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Hugues Lott was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sombra AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebec AFC the free kick. The supporters of Quebec AFC booed when Sombra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugues Lott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thad Legault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Reeder having to interfere. Quebec AFC played a much better game than Sombra AFC and deserved their victory. The Sombra AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
