That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Matt Reeder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Dubardo went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Inazuma Eleven's Léonce Castle got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22ndth minute of the game Marion Marois who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sombra AFC's Matt Reeder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matt Reeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léonce Castle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Sombra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hugues Lott. Joel Dubardo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Matt Reeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inazuma Eleven. Marion Marois recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sombra AFC's Sébastien Montminy got a free kick in the 31st minute. Marion Marois's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matt Reeder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Marion Marois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matt Reeder having to interfere. Inazuma Eleven's Joel Dubardo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matt Reeder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marion Marois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Dubardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matt Reeder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Dubardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Léonce Castle spun around in front of the goal 42 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Sombra AFC's goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Marion Marois in the 62nd minute of play forced Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Marion Marois had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matt Reeder. Sombra AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marion Marois was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 75 minutes into the match, Sombra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marion Marois came free, but Matt Reeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Inazuma Eleven got a freekick which was hit by Hong Riggs. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Dubardo in the 85th minute of play forced Sombra AFC's goalkeeper Matt Reeder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joseph Lovett fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sombra AFC's protests and gave Joseph Lovett a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sombra AFC's Joseph Lovett got a free kick in the 86th minute. The supporters of Sombra AFC booed when Inazuma Eleven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Frost didn't get a good kick on the ball.
