Eric Ménard ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 minutes, Darrin Field mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Willowdale and the Waldeck players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Willowdale's Darrin Field got a free kick in the 60th minute. 1-1 became the score in the 64th minute when Willis Cronin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Waldeck booed when Willowdale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaétan Cates didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Darrin Field was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. Richard Case showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willis Cronin, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Waldeck fans cheered their team off the field, for while Willowdale had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
