Williams Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Williams Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mose Lépicier's late challenge caught a Milltown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mose Lépicier helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Willowdale's Mose Lépicier got a free kick in the 19th minute. Richard Case didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jon Dozier went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Tyler Dow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Honoré Li had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Milltown booed when Willowdale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Stallings didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jon Dozier came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Milltown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Dozier couldn't finish the play. Honoré Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Christopher Stapleton made a huge save.

Richard Case stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Williams Dempsey's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute Williams Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Case saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Case made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Jon Dozier sent off a good shot on target. Dalton Barrios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Stapleton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Willowdale's goal looked a bit too open when Williams Dempsey came free, but Richard Case reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Milltown's goalkeeper Christopher Stapleton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Williams Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Case. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Williams Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. Christopher Stapleton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalton Barrios in the 81st minute of the match. Richard Case made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Williams Dempsey in the 83rd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Willowdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Shepherd to maneuver through the defense. Milltown's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
