But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devon Long couldn't finish the play. Earl Nunez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antony Rubio. Amulet's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Larry Babcock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antony Rubio was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Paul Charrette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lynwood Friend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Ferrier AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lynwood Friend came free, but Paul Charrette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferrier AFC's goalkeeper Paul Charrette, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lynwood Friend struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Paul Charrette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amulet. After having played for 30 minutes, Lynwood Friend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amulet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lynwood Friend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tristan Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Charrette having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Babcock in the 36th minute of play forced Amulet's goalkeeper Antony Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amulet's Antony Rubio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Babcock in the 37th minute of play. Ferrier AFC's Devon Long got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tristan Yang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Charrette having to interfere. Paul Charrette didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lynwood Friend went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 57 played minutes, Ferrier AFC's Abe Corbett shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antony Rubio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ferrier AFC reached it. If Devon Long had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Lowell Pouliotte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amulet and the Ferrier AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lowell Pouliotte kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Larry Babcock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lynwood Friend was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Amulet played a much better game than Ferrier AFC and deserved their victory. The Ferrier AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
