Milltown
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Williams Dempsey kicked off to start the match. George Suggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Stapleton having to interfere. If Jon Dozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Al Roussel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 16th minute, Jon Dozier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Stapleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shon Cook in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match, Williams Dempsey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Al Roussel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jon Dozier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Roussel having to interfere. The supporters of Milltown booed when Toronto FFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shon Cook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al Roussel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jon Dozier in the 25th minute. If Jon Dozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Williams Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Williams Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toronto FFC's Al Roussel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Toronto FFC from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the game, Quentin Darling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toronto FFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milltown the free kick. After a rather tough play, Toronto FFC's Quentin Darling got a free kick in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Antonio Pinette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Milltown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Pinette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jon Dozier struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Al Roussel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milltown. Williams Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Al Roussel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Williams Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Toronto FFC's Al Roussel got control of the ball when Jon Dozier tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Toronto FFC's goalkeeper Al Roussel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jon Dozier. In the 48th minute, Napoleon Kimbrough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto FFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Al Roussel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Williams Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Toronto FFC's goal looked a bit too open when Williams Dempsey came free, but Al Roussel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Toronto FFC's Rueben Lamy got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Jon Dozier came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Milltown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Dozier couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, Toronto FFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shon Cook to maneuver through the defense. Jon Dozier scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Al Roussel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jon Dozier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69thth minute of the game Williams Dempsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Toronto FFC's Al Roussel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Napoleon Kimbrough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toronto FFC's Al Roussel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Dozier in the 72nd minute of play. Williams Dempsey succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. If Williams Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toronto FFC were furious when Quentin Darling was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 79 minutes into the game, one of Toronto FFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Milltown a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Antonio Pinette, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Toronto FFC's Al Roussel. 3-1. Zachery Hutchison kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Toronto FFC's goal looked a bit too open when Williams Dempsey came free, but Al Roussel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Toronto FFC booed when Milltown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Williams Dempsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Milltown's Jon Dozier in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Toronto FFC's goalie prevented a goal. 3-2 became the score in the 94th minute when Napoleon Kimbrough elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Al Roussel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Williams Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
