The wind increased when Rhett Laforge made the kick off in the second half. When Milo Wynn was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. In the 66th match minute, Carstairs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milo Wynn to maneuver through the defense. If Didier Stoner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Mothé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didier Stoner in the 74th minute of play. When Laurence Doucet fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lloydminster's protests and gave Laurence Doucet a yellow card for diving instead. 95 minutes into the game, one of Lloydminster:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lloydminster players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carstairs.
