With his leg Marco Ruffin managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Ayr's Cristopher Li fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Millard Baca hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Ayr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trinidad Lejeune to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Longbank booed when Ayr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Millard Baca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Longbank's Marco Ruffin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Longbank from getting a goal against them. If Millard Baca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Ruffin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trinidad Lejeune, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After 52 played minutes Ayr got a freekick which was hit by Johnathan Lyon. After a rather tough play, Longbank's Derick Kaufman got a free kick in the 58th minute. Marco Ruffin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Lejeune, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ayr's goalkeeper Maynard Michaud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johnathan Lyon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marco Ruffin. Longbank's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 67th minute, Trinidad Lejeune left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayr fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Maynard Michaud was a little too slow when Millard Baca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristopher Li in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Ruffin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marco Ruffin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristopher Li went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 89 minutes into the match, Ayr's Trinidad Lejeune sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Ruffin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thurman Blanchard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Maynard Michaud made a huge save. Sal Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marco Ruffin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ayr's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
