Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Preston Summers started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Sal Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5thth minute of the game Valentin Sutherland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ayr's Maynard Michaud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leslie Hanks fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Creighton's protests and gave Leslie Hanks a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ayr booed when Creighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leslie Hanks didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Willie Chevrette sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Creighton's René Bilodeau didn't even have to move. In the 10th minute, Valentin Sutherland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Cristopher Li made a precise shot to the right of René Bilodeau. Creighton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cristopher Li sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trinidad Lejeune fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Bilodeau having to interfere. In the 26th minute Preston Summers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maynard Michaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Ayr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sal Castro to maneuver through the defense. Ayr's Maynard Michaud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Sutherland in the 30th minute of play. Cristopher Li blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without René Bilodeau having to make a save. René Bilodeau was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Trinidad Lejeune capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Trinidad Lejeune really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. René Bilodeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trinidad Lejeune, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Cristopher Li had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trinidad Lejeune stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maynard Michaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leslie Hanks in the 55th minute of play. Valentin Sutherland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Maynard Michaud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Creighton's Preston Summers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. If Preston Summers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Burt struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Maynard Michaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Creighton. René Bilodeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristopher Li, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Ayr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willie Chevrette to maneuver through the defense. Harland Castaneda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maynard Michaud. Ayr's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ayr fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Maynard Michaud, was totally fooled by Creighton's Harland Castaneda, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cristopher Li struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. René Bilodeau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ayr. Johnathan Lyon kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trinidad Lejeune in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg René Bilodeau saved Creighton from getting behind. Valentin Sutherland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
