Loren Sawyer might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Fry. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loren Sawyer ran back to his position shaking his head. Leandro Fry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Berger in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Stevie Blevins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Auden's supporters rose to their feet, but Stevie Blevins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benny Landry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loren Sawyer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Keith in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benny Landry saved Balfour AFC from getting behind. After 20 minutes of play, Balfour AFC's Sterling Hay made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Fry was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgard Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Pierre Lassiter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Fry having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Auden's goal looked a bit too open when Sterling Hay came free, but Leandro Fry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, one of Auden:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Stevie Blevins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Benny Landry when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benny Landry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Keith in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Henry Keith managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Auden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Keith was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Auden's zone, Sterling Hay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Fry came out of the goal and Sterling Hay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgard Berger to make the kick off. Benny Landry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Keith in the 54th minute of the match. Henry Keith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Keith's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benny Landry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Balfour AFC's Benny Landry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Keith in the 68th minute of play. When Auden's Henry Keith in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balfour AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Benny Landry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Auden's Stevie Blevins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benny Landry made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Edgard Berger struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Leandro Fry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balfour AFC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Auden fans cheered their team off the field, for while Balfour AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
