Grainger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Grainger's Joël Godwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Clemons in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Didyme AFC's goalkeeper Kevin Boivin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Clemons in the 28th minute of play forced Grainger's goalkeeper Joël Godwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dino Clemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didyme AFC were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Grainger's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lynwood Chacon took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Stacey Burr managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 45th minute of the match, Forrest Dufresne got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kevin Boivin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Grainger players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Didyme AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phillip Taylor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Dino Clemons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Didyme AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Clemons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Duvall during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 minutes, Émile Foreman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Didyme AFC and the Grainger players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Didyme AFC's Émile Foreman got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Forrest Dufresne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Forrest Dufresne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kevin Boivin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes in the game, Forrest Dufresne dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Phillip Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Boivin having to interfere. Kevin Boivin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Forrest Dufresne's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, Dino Clemons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Duvall got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dino Clemons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joël Godwin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Didyme AFC's Richard Stjohn shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of Grainger:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Didyme AFC:s goal.
