Tom Donnelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Bass in the 36th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonel Bass to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Timothée Casgrain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Earl Vernon was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Tom Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Bass in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Leonel Bass managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carseland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Bass was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jarrett Saucier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Jarrett Saucier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Donnelly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
