Spectators: 6713 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Trinidad Michaud made the kick off which started today's match. Hank Sauriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Avery Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hank Sauriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cedoux's Charley Rancourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trinidad Michaud in the 9th minute of play. Heath Buckley charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heath Buckley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trinidad Michaud in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charley Rancourt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 played minutes Placentia got a freekick which was hit by Trinidad Michaud. After a defensive mix-up in Cedoux's zone, Barney Byers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charley Rancourt came out of the goal and Barney Byers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramiro Whitfield kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Norris Bellamy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Avery Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Trinidad Michaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charley Rancourt having to interfere. If Norris Bellamy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charley Rancourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Michaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norris Bellamy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Avery Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avery Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Sauriol in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Placentia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Norris Bellamy fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Placentia's Avery Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Placentia from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hank Sauriol to make the kick off. Avery Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hank Sauriol in the 52nd minute of the match. Norris Bellamy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hank Sauriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Avery Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cedoux booed when Placentia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Tinsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Cedoux's Norris Bellamy made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Avery Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Charley Rancourt made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Barney Byers sent off a good shot on target. Trinidad Michaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charley Rancourt having to interfere. Barney Byers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charley Rancourt having to make a save. If Barney Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Cedoux's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Barney Byers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Placentia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
