Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jamey Denny made the kick off which started today's match. Burt Burkhart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sang Gagné having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Lasqueti got a freekick which was hit by Jamey Denny. The Lasqueti fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Lasqueti's Burt Burkhart looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute, Lasqueti's Jamey Denny dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Burt Burkhart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sang Gagné tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Lasqueti's Burt Burkhart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sang Gagné narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sheldon Stoner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Krause, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Gilbert Grimm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sheldon Stoner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Grimm in the 35th minute of play forced Lasqueti's goalkeeper Sheldon Stoner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Burt Burkhart made a precise shot to the right of Sang Gagné. Skownan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Burt Burkhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ed Krause was the one to do the kick off. Demarcus Wilburn hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Sheldon Stoner was a little too slow when Gilbert Grimm got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 3-2. After having played for 59 minutes, Gilbert Grimm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skownan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Grimm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilbert Grimm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sheldon Stoner having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Skownan's Ed Krause slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sheldon Stoner. That made the score 3-3 after 67 minutes of play. Sheldon Stoner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Krause in the 70th minute of the match. Jason Grove kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Gilbert Grimm came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Skownan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilbert Grimm couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute Ed Krause shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sheldon Stoner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Ed Krause had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sheldon Stoner. Lasqueti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ed Krause was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Lasqueti's Sheldon Stoner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Krause in the 90th minute of play. Sang Gagné took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamey Denny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
