In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Elphinstone AFC's goalkeeper Rich Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes in the game, Gerard Bousquet fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kyle Pringle having to interfere. After 6 minutes, Jaime Hébert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Princeville and the Elphinstone AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Joey Kiser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kyle Pringle was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Raul Cagle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rich Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armel Hétu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rich Arias. Elphinstone AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Raul Cagle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rich Arias was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Valentine Skinner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentine Skinner during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Princeville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentine Skinner to maneuver through the defense. Valentine Skinner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rich Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard Bousquet to strike the kick off in the second half. Rich Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Cagle, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Valentine Skinner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Princeville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With an all-out effort, Princeville's Rich Arias threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Raul Cagle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Raul Cagle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Elphinstone AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Cagle came free, but Rich Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jamey Gorman during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, Valentine Skinner cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rich Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Gerard Bousquet came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Elphinstone AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerard Bousquet couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Princeville could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Elphinstone AFC throughout the match.
