Lillestrom FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norman Hall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Jaime Hébert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Princeville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raul Cagle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raul Cagle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clyde Kirkland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Kyle Pringle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Nash in the 92nd minute of play. Raul Cagle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Princeville supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Princeville would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
