In the 22nd match minute, Douro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikel Bryan to maneuver through the defense. Gary Wiggins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mary Valencia, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With an all-out effort, Douro's Stephen Sirois threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Norris Staton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Christophe Gallegos hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Reginald Thurman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wesleyville AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gary Wiggins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mary Valencia went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Gaétan Fraser made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Douro's goal looked a bit too open when Gaétan Fraser came free, but Gary Wiggins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elden Cooke shot the penalty kick right outside the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Major Hadley in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stephen Sirois saved Wesleyville AFC from getting behind. Norris Staton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Major Hadley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douro's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Hadley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stephen Sirois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Major Hadley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Stephen Sirois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mary Valencia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Wiggins having to interfere. Wesleyville AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
