Snowden FC's Eldridge Kendall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norris Staton in the 12th minute of play. Gary Wiggins made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Harley Rivers sent off a good shot on target. Douro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elden Cooke in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Major Hadley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eldridge Kendall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norris Staton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Major Hadley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldridge Kendall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Preston Inman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Preston Inman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eldridge Kendall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norris Staton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norris Staton to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Bill Grimm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snowden FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Douro's Bill Grimm got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Snowden FC's Eldridge Kendall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norris Staton in the 58th minute of play. Douro's Major Hadley got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eldridge Kendall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norris Staton in the 61st minute of play. Harley Rivers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Roger Connell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Snowden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Connell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gary Wiggins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Harley Rivers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gary Wiggins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Douro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Preston Inman to maneuver through the defense. Gary Wiggins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesaire Parish's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Major Hadley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eldridge Kendall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 90 in the game by Major Hadley from a close distance when the talented Eldridge Kendall managed to make a qualified save. Snowden FC's players were relieved. In the 91st minute, Harley Rivers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Snowden FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Major Hadley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eldridge Kendall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norris Staton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eldridge Kendall having to interfere.
