If Mario Dudley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rich Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freeman Boyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Gerard Bousquet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walker Barker was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Mario Dudley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rich Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Elphinstone AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rich Arias should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Bienvenue charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Bienvenue the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Elphinstone AFC's Leonardo Bienvenue got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Maitland's Mario Dudley in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joey Kiser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Walker Barker made a huge save. Gerard Bousquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Morris walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

After 56 minutes Elphinstone AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paul Morris who took care of the corner kick. Raphael Duffy thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Rich Arias, a very annoying self made goal in the 56th minute which led to 1-3. In the 60th minute, Elphinstone AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Freeman Boyer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 61st minute, Mario Dudley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rich Arias. The goal made the score 1-4. Gerard Bousquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freeman Boyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rich Arias having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Elphinstone AFC's goalkeeper Rich Arias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freeman Boyer. Joey Kiser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walker Barker having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerard Bousquet in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walker Barker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Maitland's zone, Joey Kiser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walker Barker came out of the goal and Joey Kiser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maitland's Walker Barker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Bousquet in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joey Kiser in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walker Barker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Freeman Boyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Rich Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Maitland's Mario Dudley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rich Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ward Arthur's late challenge caught a Elphinstone AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ward Arthur helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Elphinstone AFC booed when Maitland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ward Arthur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Joey Kiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walker Barker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walker Barker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Bousquet in the 100th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Maitland walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
