When Denílson Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebec Capitales's protests and gave Denílson Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Climax FC booed when Quebec Capitales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garland Cottrell made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Kristopher Bureau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alejandro Cole stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garland Cottrell's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. If Musko Amenabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joseph Montminy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Climax FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
