Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Philbert Larkin kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Gaston Petrie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Byers was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Deon Gipson was a little too slow when Terrance Williamson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Wayne Hopson in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Deon Gipson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Deon Gipson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philbert Larkin in the 17th minute of play. Wayne Hopson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Deon Gipson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deon Gipson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wayne Hopson in the 20th minute. Deon Gipson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philbert Larkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Marlboro's Philbert Larkin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 29 minutes, Vaughn Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marlboro and the Valleyfield FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Marlboro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gaston Petrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Valleyfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Philbert Larkin came free, but Deon Gipson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmad Oliver struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Deon Gipson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marlboro. In the 46th match minute, Valleyfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Cyr to maneuver through the defense.

After 54 minutes of play, Marlboro's Philbert Larkin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Deon Gipson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Webb got free with Henry Byers in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Marlboro getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Terrance Williamson hit a great ball. When Terrance Williamson fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marlboro's protests and gave Terrance Williamson a yellow card for diving instead. Bernie Sands's shot from long distance in the 65th minute was not bad at all, but Marlboro's Henry Byers knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 72 minutes into the match, Philbert Larkin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Deon Gipson. Valleyfield FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Philbert Larkin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After having played for 76 minutes, Philbert Larkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marlboro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philbert Larkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deon Gipson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philbert Larkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Philbert Larkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deon Gipson came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Marlboro's Wayne Hopson. But to his dismay, Wayne Hopson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Henry Byers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Petrie in the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to Marlboro getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Vaughn Ramos hit a great ball. Bernie Sands, 99 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marlboro walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
