In the 20th match minute, Povungnetuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eldridge Weber to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Elma's goalkeeper Marc Bellamy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saul Lund. Marcellin Warren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Murillo in the 25th minute of the match. Enoch Christiansen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Marc Bellamy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elma's Marc Bellamy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Elma from getting a goal against them. Dave Norwood charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ben Murillo in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcellin Warren saved Povungnetuk from getting behind. Marcellin Warren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brent Desjardins hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Saul Lund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Enoch Christiansen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enoch Christiansen in the 66th minute of play forced Elma's goalkeeper Marc Bellamy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Povungnetuk's Enoch Christiansen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc Bellamy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elma's Marc Bellamy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enoch Christiansen in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Saul Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Povungnetuk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Lund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ben Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcellin Warren having to interfere. Dave Steward received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Marcellin Warren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Willie Huot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Elma had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
