Lyndon Stark came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Nigadu AFC's Fausto Khan. But to his dismay, Fausto Khan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Montreal FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Humbert Herrington hit a great ball. Nigadu AFC's Brant Murry couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Montreal FC. Fausto Khan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lyndon Stark having to interfere. Alejandro McGinnis hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Nigadu AFC's Leonard Bermudez suffered a sore thigh after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Emmanuel Binet's late challenge caught a Nigadu AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Khan got free with Lyndon Stark in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Darius Inman fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nigadu AFC's protests and gave Darius Inman a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Nigadu AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montreal FC:s goal. Lyndon Stark stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Petit's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. If Eliseo Dupéré had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lyndon Stark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Petit in the 74th minute of the match.
