An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Khan in the 66th minute of play forced Rexdale AFC's goalkeeper Les Briggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nigadu AFC's zone, Hobert Blanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kyle Kendrick came out of the goal and Hobert Blanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Rexdale AFC booed when Nigadu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Frappier didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Nigadu AFC's Kyle Kendrick got control of the ball when Russell Holmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Russell Holmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kyle Kendrick. Nigadu AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Russell Holmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The Nigadu AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rexdale AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rexdale AFC.
