After 5 played minutes Bathurst FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Jolly. If Randell Conner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guy McGrath sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kyle Kendrick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Randell Conner in the 13th minute. A collision led to Nigadu AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eddy Petit hit a great ball. Bathurst FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josef Browning was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Nigadu AFC's Josef Browning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Irwin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Josef Browning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Nigadu AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Hancock. Fausto Khan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Randell Conner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. The Bathurst FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nigadu AFC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guy McGrath to make the kick off. Nigadu AFC's Kyle Kendrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randell Conner in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Guy McGrath managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bathurst FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guy McGrath was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Bathurst FC's Randell Conner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kyle Kendrick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Guy McGrath managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bathurst FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guy McGrath was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyle Kendrick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josef Browning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Irwin having to interfere. Kyle Kendrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guy McGrath, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Kyle Kendrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randell Conner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Josef Browning suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philippe Lanctot during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Nigadu AFC booed when Bathurst FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philippe Lanctot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fausto Khan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nigadu AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Khan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Irwin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bathurst FC's Guy McGrath got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Nigadu AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Randell Conner came free, but Kyle Kendrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 minutes, Randell Conner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bathurst FC and the Nigadu AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Randell Conner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Bathurst FC had been in control for most of the match, Nigadu AFC still came away with the win.
