After having played for 24 minutes, Bud Smart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandspit AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bud Smart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Danial Schumacher put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hoyt Hughes. In the 31st minute Juan Busby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Picard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th match minute, Sandspit AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paschal Cabrera to maneuver through the defense. Bud Smart might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hoyt Hughes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bud Smart ran back to his position shaking his head. Hoyt Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danial Schumacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hoyt Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danial Schumacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danial Schumacher in the 68th minute of play forced Whitla hc's goalkeeper Hoyt Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danial Schumacher in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hoyt Hughes saved Whitla hc from getting behind. Isidore Ybarra kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 79 minutes of play, Sandspit AFC's Bud Smart made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hoyt Hughes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bud Smart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sandspit AFC's zone, Murray Deschênes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adan Picard came out of the goal and Murray Deschênes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandspit AFC's Adan Picard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Busby in the 92nd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sandspit AFC fully deserved thier win.
