An unexpectedly hard shot by Ross Capps in the 19th minute of play forced Brancepeth AFC's goalkeeper Otha Braden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brancepeth AFC's Otha Braden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Sizemore in the 20th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ross Capps's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otha Braden was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Brancepeth AFC's zone, Ross Capps stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otha Braden came out of the goal and Ross Capps tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Brancepeth AFC's Isaac Singletary got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the Livelong defense, Tyrell Christopher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ed Daigneault. The Livelong fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ed Daigneault should have stopped the shot. Ross Capps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Otha Braden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Livelong's Quincy Sizemore got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ross Capps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ross Capps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Otha Braden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Tyrell Christopher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ed Daigneault saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Ross Capps came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Livelong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ross Capps couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ross Capps in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otha Braden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 played minutes Brancepeth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jermaine Silva. Tyrell Christopher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ed Daigneault tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Livelong got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Beaupré. Otha Braden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ross Capps, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Brancepeth AFC's Jermaine Silva got a free kick in the 75th minute. Otha Braden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Capps, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was beautiful to see Livelong's Russ Mayo in action when he in the 84th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Otha Braden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ross Capps's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Otha Braden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ross Capps, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Ross Capps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brancepeth AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Livelong's much stronger midfield.
