The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirby Champagne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Santana in the 35th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes, Merrickville FC's Richard Nixon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kirby Champagne came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merrickville FC reached it. 43 minutes into the match, Vernon Burris notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Merrickville FC's Edwardo Conley. Edwardo Conley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edwardo Conley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vernon Burris in the 47th minute.

Jules Price's late challenge caught a Hatton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jules Price helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Merrickville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jules Price to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vernon Burris in the 67th minute of play forced Merrickville FC's goalkeeper Edwardo Conley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vernon Burris in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwardo Conley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edwardo Conley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vernon Burris in the 73rd minute of play. Garrett Cunningham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 minutes of play Merrickville FC's Jules Price was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A hard shot 85 in the game by Garrett Cunningham from a close distance when the talented Kirby Champagne managed to make a qualified save. Hatton FC's players were relieved. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Garrett Cunningham sped through Hatton FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kirby Champagne. After 90th play minutes Garrett Cunningham shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Kirby Champagne and just under the crossbar into goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
