The goalkeeper, Kirby Champagne, was totally fooled by Millhaven AFC's Antione Gaulin, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sylvain Carlson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Hurd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Kirby Champagne managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Millhaven AFC's Mervin Prescott fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 31 minutes into the match, Millhaven AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vernon Burris came free, but Sylvain Carlson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Jeff Marleau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Millhaven AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antione Gaulin in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathon Wheeler made a kick off. The supporters of Hatton FC booed when Millhaven AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freeman Wise didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Millhaven AFC's zone, Pedro Hurd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvain Carlson came out of the goal and Pedro Hurd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vernon Burris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Sylvain Carlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonathon Wheeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barrett Obrien struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Kirby Champagne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Millhaven AFC. Kirby Champagne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mervin Prescott in the 69th minute of the match. Vernon Burris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Millhaven AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pedro Hurd 97 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1.
