Victor Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victor Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Sapp having to interfere. Richmond Hill United's Nicholas Sapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Santana in the 11th minute of play. If Donald Grandpré had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Emil Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Richmond Hill United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Austin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garrett Cunninghams short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Nicholas Sapp to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, Merrickville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Grandpré came free, but Edwardo Conley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nicholas Sapp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute Victor Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Sapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Merrickville FC booed when Richmond Hill United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolph Meier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas Sapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Donald Grandpré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwardo Conley having to interfere. If Victor Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donald Grandpré made a kick off. Nicholas Sapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Santana in the 52nd minute of play. Merrickville FC's Federico Desnoyers suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gratien Weston during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gratien Weston hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Emil Austin kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Emil Austin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwardo Conley having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Garrett Cunningham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicholas Sapp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Richmond Hill United's Donald Grandpré got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Austin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwardo Conley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When Jules Price fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merrickville FC's protests and gave Jules Price a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Merrickville FC's Jules Price got a free kick in the 94th minute. Merrickville FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
