Spectators: 6733 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 0) Maymont's Dennis Winston started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Piquitonay FC's Nestor Despins got control of the ball when Benedict McCabe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th play minute Benedict McCabe came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nestor Despins. 1-0. Benedict McCabe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Despins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Houston Villarreal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duane Leon, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Collin Loomis during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Piquitonay FC got a freekick which was hit by Collin Loomis. If Dennis Winston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedict McCabes short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Nestor Despins to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeffry Yazzie struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Malcolm Griffith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piquitonay FC. Buster McDaniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Griffith having to interfere. Malcolm Griffith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffry Yazzie in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maymont's Miguel Peacock got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Buster McDaniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piquitonay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Buster McDaniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Griffith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lambert Tharp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Buster McDaniel made the kick off in the second half. When Roderick Bearden fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maymont's protests and gave Roderick Bearden a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Maymont was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roderick Bearden to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Maymont's goalkeeper Malcolm Griffith had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeffry Yazzie. Casey Grandbois hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th match minute, Piquitonay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irving Chaloux to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedict McCabe in the 59th minute of play forced Piquitonay FC's goalkeeper Nestor Despins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Buster McDaniel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jeffry Yazzie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piquitonay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffry Yazzie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm Griffith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Winston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Winston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Despins having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Dennis Winston made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Despins. Piquitonay FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Buster McDaniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes of play, Maymont's Benedict McCabe made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Despins was left in no man's land by his defense there! Many of Piquitonay FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Piquitonay FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Maymont were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
