Sylvain Carlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otha Braden was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Jonathon Wheeler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonathon Wheeler really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After 27 minutes, Todd Kohler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Millhaven AFC and the Brancepeth AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Millhaven AFC's Sylvain Carlson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrell Christopher in the 32nd minute of play. The nice shot from Mervin Prescott in the 34thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Otha Braden had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After having played for 40 minutes, Tyrell Christopher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brancepeth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyrell Christopher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mitchel Smith struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Sylvain Carlson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brancepeth AFC.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tyrell Christopher to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Brancepeth AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jermaine Silva hit a great ball. Mervin Prescott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyrell Christopher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Otha Braden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathon Wheeler in the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Millhaven AFC's zone, Mitchel Smith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvain Carlson came out of the goal and Mitchel Smith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrell Christopher in the 90th minute of play forced Millhaven AFC's goalkeeper Sylvain Carlson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Brancepeth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jermaine Silva to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Millhaven AFC were victorious despite being under pressure from Brancepeth AFC for much of the match.
