Spectators: 5152 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 152) Victor Santana made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, one of Merrickville FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Merrickville FC. Edwardo Conley went to the wrong direction when Russ Mayo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 9th minute, Victor Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ed Daigneault was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Ross Capps kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edwardo Conley. That made the score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. Ed Daigneault showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Santana in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Livelong's Erin Melton seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Erin Melton the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Livelong protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Erin Melton had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Livelong fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Ed Daigneault had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Richard Nixon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Quentin Gold notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Merrickville FC's Edwardo Conley. Edwardo Conley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute, Joseph Beaupré got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Livelong's Quentin Gold got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Quentin Gold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Merrickville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Beaupré came free, but Edwardo Conley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Quentin Gold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Victor Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Quincy Sizemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Edwardo Conley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute of the match Livelong got a corner. Merrickville FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Russ Mayo ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Santana in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ed Daigneault saved Livelong from getting behind. Quincy Sizemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edwardo Conley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quincy Sizemore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quentin Gold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edwardo Conley having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Quentin Gold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Livelong's supporters rose to their feet, but Quentin Gold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edwardo Conley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Merrickville FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Jules Price hit a great ball. Edwardo Conley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Beaupré, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Quentin Gold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Edwardo Conley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quincy Sizemore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwardo Conley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. If Garrett Cunningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Livelong players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
